Before the project started, we visited different hospitals and learned about the infrastructure of their wards: the patients can enjoy the entertainment through a traditional TV. However, the functionality of TV is limited, and simply switching channels and adjusting sound is far from enough. Their needs are feeling of being at home, it is disconnected from the fact of hospitalization. Finally, we realized the necessity of providing a range of multimedia services which the hospitals do not have.
A Smart Terminal With Rich Function
It has functions of television, radio, telephone, videoconference, e-mail, e-book, news, Internet etc. AIMEDIK supports software secondary development to record daily situation and provide health education to patients. It can also be used for conducting surveys to collect data and improve patients’ experience.
